About the King Kamehameha Celebration:
It was in 1810 that King Kamehameha united all of the Hawaiian Islands. His legacy lives on in countless ways, and the people are determined to always remember and to celebrate his legacy. The King Kamehameha Celebration is just one part of King Kamehameha Day, a holiday that was established in 1871. Both locals and tourists take part in the festivities which provide opportunities to learn about Hawaii and its people.

The Floral Parade with take place on June 8th. It starts at Iolani Palace and ends at Queen Kapiolani Park. After the parade, many attendees stick around for hours to enjoy the live music that lasts through the afternoon.
