Hike to Gorgeous Oahu Waterfalls
Whether you’re a novice or experienced hiker, waterfall hikes could be a highlight of your visit!
There are many compelling reasons to plan a visit to Oahu and a stay at our ideally-located Honolulu Hotel. One of those reasons is the spectacular views that can be found all over the Island. If you’re looking for Oahu Things to Do that let you get out, get active, and learn about the Island, consider chasing some of the stunning waterfalls located on Oahu.
Some only require an easy hike while other treks are a bit more strenuous. Here are a few examples of waterfalls you may want to add to your must-see list during your next stay at Ambassador Hotel Waikiki Beach.
Waimea Falls Park
If you’re a novice hiker, or you’d like to bring the kids along on your waterfall adventure, Waimea Falls Park is a perfect choice. The hike is easy, and the rewards are great! You’re welcome to take a dip at the falls, and there are even lifeguards on duty to ensure everyone is safe. Enjoy gorgeous scenery on your way to the falls and a stunning waterfall once you complete the short hike.
At 150-feet tall, Manoa Falls is one of Island’s tallest waterfalls. To reach this beautiful Oahu attraction, hop in your car and head to Manoa Valley (about a 15-minute car ride). Once you’re there, the hike to the falls will take roughly an hour. The hike isn’t very strenuous, but it can be muddy during certain times of the year which makes it more challenging. You’ll find it was worth the effort once you see the breathtaking Manoa Falls!
If multi-level waterfalls that end in an inviting pool aren’t enough to entice you to take an 8-mile hike then nothing will! Because the hike involves a bit of rock climbing and, at times, dense vegetation, it’s a better choice for an experienced hiker. If you want to give it a go, just obtain a free permit, and you’ll be on your way. Once you reach the falls, be sure to take a dip in the pool before heading back down.

Laie Falls Trail
Have you ever seen a double-sided waterfall? If not then plan to embark on this 2.5-mile hike to the lovely Laie Falls. While not appropriate for young children, older kids may be able to enjoy this moderate hike. As with all the falls, feel free to ask our Concierge for advice about which would be best for your group.
