Come enjoy the beautiful Holiday Lights Parade in Downtown Honolulu and Chinatown. This popular Oahu Event features many work vehicles decorated with beautiful lights and holiday decorations. The Mayor of Honolulu turns on the lights for the city Christmas Tree which kicks off the parade of city vehicles decorated in festive lights.

The Nutcracker – Hawaiian-style
Dates: December 12 – 15, 2019

‘The Nutcracker’ is an annual favorite performance for the Holidays and this performance of ‘The Nutcracker’ has a specific ‘Hawaiian-style’ twist to it.  This version of the story takes place in 1858 in the Kingdom of Hawaii.  The performance includes beautiful flowers, decorative sets, native Hawaiian birds, songs and costumed performers. Also, Queen Lili’uokalani is also featured to make this a very Hawaiian version of the classic story.

Festival of Lights Christmas Boat Parade

Polynesian Cultural Center

Everyone loves to visit various Holiday Markets during the Holiday Season no matter where you may live.  Because this particular Holiday Market is located on Oahu, of course you can expect to see some wonderful ‘Hawaiian-style’ products, food items, clothing, jewelry and more. There will be over 100 booths offering great items perfect for purchase so you can bring ‘a little Hawaii’ home with you.

Chinatown Winter Walk is a wonderful area to take a walk around and enjoy the beautiful Holiday decorations, music and the wonderful holiday window displays. Chinatown is a great part of Honolulu and is rich in Hawaiian history. Over 40 local merchants take part in the celebration by decorating their windows and store fronts with traditional and sometimes modern decorations.

Oahu, and most specifically in the Waikiki area, Waikiki Beach Walk and the stores in Waikiki will be featuring Holiday festive window decorations, live music, performers and more. It really is a magical time to be on Oahu.
