Honolulu Marathon—One of the Largest Marathons in the World

Participants of all skill levels and ages are welcome to register for this exciting Oahu event!

Honolulu Marathon
Date: December 9, 2018

If you’ve dreamed on participating in a world-class marathon, but don’t have the times to qualify for New York or Boston, consider the Honolulu Marathon. This Oahu event is one of the largest marathons in the world with more than 30,000 finishers in 2017.

The Honolulu Marathon, which will take place on December 9, 2018, is as popular with seasoned pros as it is with first-timers. In addition to no qualifying times, this race, unlike most other world-class races, allows every participant to finish. Whether you’re a record-setting champion or you end up walking most of the course, you’ll get your medal!

The beauty of the course is another reason to add participating in this event to your running-related bucket list. You’ll run along the coast and pass iconic spots like Honolulu Harbor, Aloha Tower, and the King Kamehameha statue. The course will also take you through city streets and by high-rise hotels and office buildings. After running through Fort DeRussy, you’ll pass more beautiful beaches, Diamond Head crater and lighthouse, and then finish near Kapiolani Park.

The Honolulu Marathon offers gorgeous views from start to finish.

Because there is no cap on the number of entrants, you can sign up all the way until the day before the race. Registration is $135 to $185 depending on when you sign up. You can also enter the Start to Park 10K ($60) or the Kalakaua Merrie Mile ($45.)

The Marathon Expo takes place at the Hawaii Convention Center. This Oahu event is open to the public, and it features information about health and fitness. Attendees are encouraged to be more active, and there is something to interest all ages.
