Event: Mardi Gras
Date: March 1 – 2, 2019
Location: Honolulu's Historical Culture & Arts District - Nuuanu & Smith Street, Honolulu, HI 96813

Come get your Samba Groove on! This fun event celebrates the rich culture of the Latin/Caribbean celebration of Mardi Gras!

Enjoy Samba Dancers, live music, Samba dancers, outside bar, and food.

The 25th Annual Honolulu Festival is Hawaii’s premier cultural event that promotes the understanding and economic cooperation between the people of the Pacific Rim and Hawaii.

Event: 25th Annual Honolulu Festival
Date: March 8 – 10, 2019
Location: Hawaii Convention Center, Honolulu, HI

The 25th Annual Honolulu Festival is Hawaii’s premier cultural event that promotes the understanding and economic cooperation between the people of the Pacific Rim and Hawaii, as well as all the visitors to Hawaii who love Hawaii and the Hawaiian culture.

A parade down Honolulu’s main street, Kalakaua Avenue is a featured event during Honolulu Festival.  Admission to all the events is free, ensuring that everyone can take part in the Festival.

This 3-day event includes cultural celebrations, amazing food, music and entertainment from performers from countries including Japan, Taiwan, Australia, Tahiti, Philippine, South Korea and mainland United States.

Event: St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Date: March 17, 2019
Location: Ala Moana Beach Park

Everyone is a little Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, even in Hawaii!

The parade begins at Fort DeRussy with the parade taking a route through Waikiki, along Kalakaua Avenue and finishing up at Kapiolani Park.  The parade includes approximately 800 participants including marching bands, military groups, community organizers, and students from local schools.

The celebration continues in the park with beer, Irish food, music and live entertainment.

Event: 10th Annual Special Olympics Polar Plunge
Date: April 6, 2019
Location: Waterfront Plaza fronting Ala Moana Blvd. 

Come have fun watching all the action while supporting a great cause and building awareness for the Special Olympics Hawaii. The 10th annual Polar Plunge returns for the weekend of high-sliding thrills, beginning on Saturday, April 6, 2019.

The event challenges participants to slide down a 95-foot long, 36-foot high inflatable slide into a pool of ice-cold water.

The Hapalua Half Marathon begins at the iconic Duke Kahanamoku statue in the heart of Waikiki and leads runners along Waikiki Beach, and past spectators, entertainment and food along the course.

Event: Hapalua Hawaii Half Marathon
Date: April 14, 2019
Location: Begins at the Duke Kahanomoku Statue, Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii

The Hapalua Hawaii Half Marathon, or ‘Hawaii’s Half Marathon,’ is a very popular half marathon and relay that features a unique element called, ‘The Chase.’ In ‘The Chase’, the best local runners get a head start on the best professional runners in the world.  The professional runners then ‘run down’ the amateur, local runners.

The Hapalua Half Marathon begins at the iconic Duke Kahanamoku statue in the heart of Waikiki and leads runners along Waikiki Beach, and past spectators, entertainment and food along the course.

Further into the marathon, runners circle the 475-acre park around Diamond Head Crater State Monument, one of Honolulu’s most famous landmarks.

The annual Lei Day Celebration is a one-day event that celebrates the Lei and the skill and artistry of Hawaii's Lei makers.

Event: 92nd Annual Lei Day Celebration
Date: May 1, 2019
Location: Kapiolani Park, Honolulu, HI

The annual Lei Day Celebration is a one-day event that celebrates the Lei and the skill and artistry of Hawaii's Lei makers.  The Lei Day Celebration honors Hawaii's people and their rich heritage.

On May 1st of each year, this popular event is held at Kapiolani Park from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The event features the annual Lei Court, as well as local entertainment and Hula Halau.

Event: 16th Annual International Honolulu Triathlon Festival
Date: May 12, 2019

The 16th Annual International Honolulu Triathlon Festival features several challenging sporting events including the Honolulu Triathlon, 10K Fun Run and a SUP & RUN at the beach and a Kids Race.

Come to Magic Island in Ala Moana Beach Park on May 12, 2019 and support the athletes and participants in the events. 

The International Honolulu Triathlon Festival includes several challenges including; Olympic Relay with a 1.5KSwim/40KBikeride/10K Run, a Sprint Relay with a 750m Swim/20K Bike ride/5K Run and a Corporate Challenge with a 750m Swim, 20KBike ride/5KRun.
